Call for Abstracts

The Organising Committee cordially invites you to submit abstracts to be considered for poster presentation.

 
 
Preparation of Abstract
.......................................................................................................................................................................
  1. All abstracts must be submitted in English and be of not more than 250 words. The abstracts should be saved on Microsoft Word, in word document. The abstract specifications are A4 paper portrait size (117cm x 12cm) and in Times New Roman, 11-point size.

  2. The title should be in capital letters, bold print and justified to the left.

  3. The authors' family names in full, name of initials, their institutions, cities and countries should be listed immediately beneath the abstract title, typed in upper and lower case and single-spaced without using full-stops. The presenter's name is to be underlined.

  4. The text of the abstract must include section headings such as "Objectives", "Materials and Methods", "Results" and "Conclusion". The section headings should appear in bold.

Poster Presentation

  1. You are provided with a one-sided panel board (white in colour) with dimensions of 1m (width) x 2m (height), you are not required to use up the entire space.

  2. Posters will be displayed throughout the Congress proper from 3 to 4 October 2008 after which the posters should be removed within the stipulated time.

  3. Authors are fully responsible for display and removal of their posters at the respective locations. The Organising Committee will not be liable for any loss or damage to the posters during the display.

  4. Velcro tapes are supplied by the Secretariat to mount the posters on the assigned panels. No nails are allowed on the panels.

  5. When preparing text and illustrations, bear in mind that the posters will be viewed from a distance of about 1m.

  6. Use lightweight materials only; heavy articles are difficult to secure.

Note to all presenters:
Abstracts will ONLY be accepted upon receipt of the registration form together with the conference registration fee.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend or change any part of the submission guidelines without prior notice.
