Latest News: Early Bird Registration has beeen extended to 5 September 2008

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Please accept my warmest invitation to participate in the 4th Annual NUH - NUS Head & Neck Surgery Conference 2008. This event is hosted by the ENT-Head Neck Surgery Department, National University Health System, Singapore and the Centre for Hearing Intervention & Language Development, National University Hospital, Singapore.

This year's theme is "Focus on Vestibular and Hearing Disorders".

Rapid and significant advancements have transformed the realm of Vestibular and Hearing Health in ENT. Vestibular and hearing management is extremely challenging, involving a broad multidisciplinary expert team. Hearing aids are increasingly sophisiticated, and a wide array of cochlear and middle ear implants deliver the gift of hearing where hearing aids are inadequate. Speech language therapy and auditory verbal therapy are now firmly established in the rehabilitation of patients with hearing impairment.

We hope to see many of our colleages at this conference - ENT's, neurologists, audiologists, occupational and physiotherapists, speech language pathologists, auditory verbal therapists, child development specialists, multidisciplinary medical specialists, psychologists and school teaching faculty. We also hope to see many colleages involved in Neuroscience and Biotechnology research participate.

We have assembled a distinguished overseas expert for this conference. Prof Richard E Gans will helm the Vestibular Workshop, Dr Gaye Cronin the Vestibular / Facial Retraining Workshop, Dr Brian Westerberg the Temporal Bone Workshop, Dr Teresa Ching the Audiology Workshop and Prof Donald Goldberg the Auditory Verbal Therapy / Speech Language Pathology Workshop. They will be joined by our very own distinguised local experts from multidisciplinary fields.

Please do honor us with your presence this October in Singapore, to make this a lively exchange of best practices. My team is very much looking forward to welcoming all of you.
